It's Been a Good Run

And in another successful attempt to ruin anything new, exciting or different about their product, people inside the Impact! Zone for tonight's Genesis Pay-Per-View are reporting that the ring is a regular four sided ring, instead of the famous six-sided one.

Way to go TNA. Way to go.

What is the Hold Up?!

TNA Wrestling has added all of the people that showed up to the live taping to their roster page. Ric Flair, Sean Waltman, Sean Morley, Scott Hall and others were added to TNAwrestling.com.

Shannon Moore and Jeff Hardy have not been added.

Sting's Still a Flair Mark After All These Years

When I think of Flair/Sting, these are the men I see.

Sting has reportedly been putting Flair over huge in the TNA locker room, telling everyone that will listen that he owes all of his success in the wrestling industry to Flair. He's said that Flair coming to TNA is what convinced him to stick around for one more year, as he'd love the chance to work with him one more time.

And can you blame him? I know Flair got the sendoff of a King by WWE, but that whole storyline was all about active competition. Why should we blame Flair for wanting to come back into some kind of a managerial role? Judging by what we saw on impact this Thursday, it appears to this guy that Flair's got a hand in AJ possibly turning heel / tweener again... and I'm salivating. Nichols has the NWO, I have the Horsemen. I'm intrigued to see where this is going, and the possibility of Flair coming in to groom a new group of 4 up and coming stars (tangent: how sad is it that AJ's been in TNA since day one and he's still seen as an "up and coming young guy?"). Even if it's not a stable that he's working towards, having AJ and Flair work together could be gold for both of them. Flair never did get to "pass the torch," after all.

We all have the one or two stars that we inexplicably mark for, no matter the circumstances. At the core of it, I'm just a silly shameless mark for Flair and Sting. And considering the last time they worked together was that horrifyingly bad match that ended the final Nitro, the chance to see the two of them work together one last time is a dream come true for me. And Sting is right -- he DOES owe his career to Flair. Clash of the Champions 1988, Flair-Sting for the NWA Title. That match was a clinic on how the current champ can get a new guy over (and turn him into a huge star in the process) without losing his own heat or the title. Some of today's Hollywood writers would do well to watch this match and learn a thing or two.

Bubba the Love Sponge is an a-hole.

Let's start this one with a little cockle-warming news: TNA has asked people who come to next week's TV taping to bring donations for the victims of Mother Nature's wrath in Haiti on Tuesday. They'll be giving these donations to the Central Florida Headquarters of the American Red Cross. Dixie Carter had this to say: "The photos and video from Haiti are tragic. We want to help. We have to help. The money raised at The iMPACT! Zone is just a start of TNA's plan to help the country of Haiti."

All fine and well, right? Well, Bubba the Love Sponge, in his infinite human compassion, replied from his Twitter account: "I say fuck hati. Why do we have to take care of everybody our country is in shambles. Bubba"

In a situation like this, I'm not even going to rip into his 3rd grade spelling mistakes and run-on sentences (oops). But "fuck hati [sic]?" These people just had their entire lives turned upside down, some literally, and the ones whose lives were spared more than likely have basically nothing left.

You know, Bubba's nothing more than the class bully. He doesn't even have anything interesting or thought provoking to say, he's not clever; he's simply "controversial" for the sake of being "controversial." He's the attention whoring high school jerk who stands up in the middle of the lunch room to yell at everyone to watch him while he dunks the nerd's face in his pudding and tweak the cheerleader's nipple on his way out, all the while being the only one to laugh at himself.

"fuck hati?" No, Todd Clem, fuck YOU. At the risk of running my own joke into the ground...

Finally....

The Rock will be guest hosting Raw to do something "special" in the Summer of 2010, after he's done promoting "The Tooth Fairy" and filming his new movie "Faster". In an interview with the Ottawa Sun The Rock said that he was originally scheduled to host the January 4th edition of Raw, but had to cancel because he was called by his "The Tooth Fairy" producers to do promotion tours in Mexico.

Bret Hart Says His Segment with HBK was Unscripted

Bret Hart is doing the old partial kayfabe/partial real life explanation when explaining that segment he did with HBK on the January 4th edition of Raw.

It's worth mentioning that although I did see Shawn earlier in the afternoon in the cafeteria, our in-ring face-off was unrehearsed and heartfelt on both sides and I can finally say that Shawn and I have finally made peace in what has been a long, draining, and sometimes pointless war of personalities. As for everything else that happened, on one hand, I finally found some closure. On the other hand, as far as Vince McMahon goes, I haven't closed anything at all. I have a lot of friends in a lot of places and we'll just have to see what happens next."

This is Getting Serious...

Hogan dropped that a BIG name would be debuting at TNA Genesis at the end of this month. Rumors had been circulating that it might be RVD, and rampant speculation that Scott Hall is trying to get Sid Vicious hired. (This isn't related, but I just found out Sid Vicious is still alive.)

All the word from TNA "insiders" seem to be pointing to the artist formerly known as Mr. Kennedy - Ken Anderson.

This is getting out of hand. With the help of Bischoff, TNA MIGHT do something right, but... I'm a Ken Anderson fan. I quiet enjoy some Jeff Hardy, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Eric Young.... ummm...oh, who else? SHANNON MOORE! I can't stand watching them be misused though... Go away. I have some tough decisions to make.
