Here's Lookin' at You Kid

Let's just face it now, okay? The Miz? He's awesome. On Monday night, Miz cut a promo against JBL and the crowd ate it up. We'll ignore the fact that he's given absolutely no one to work with, and focus on the fact that his mic skills are, to use an overused phrase, epic. In fact, let's revisit this moment where WWE Creative wrote something worth listening to.

JBL - who is gracious, but a loudmouth - of course had to reply to the genius. He said the following on his blog.

I hear Miz cut a promo on me last night on Raw. Heard he called me a dinosaur- he is correct, I am down here in the tar pits in Cabo right now using my wireless as I look over sea of Cortez-Dino, heaven where an old wrestler should be and he is right where a young wrestler with a great future should be -- cutting a promo on me in front of large crowd. Go get 'em kid, because I am, no joking whatsoever, pulling for you!"

Dancing Into the Sunset

Steve Lewington, most recently known (or unknown, as it were) for his tenure in ECW as DJ Gabriel, was recently released from his WWE contract. Lewington played such a big part in the WWE's storylines that his 'future endeavoring' didn't even get so much as a blurb on the WWE.com website in the WWE news section. Steve kept it classy though, having this to say about his release: "I'm not going to look back, complain, and berate the WWE because I have nothing but good things to say about them. They gave me an opportunity to live in the spotlight, and whether whatever character I portrayed or how long it lasted, I still got that opportunity."

It's a sad day for wrestling fans worldwide. I know that for me, I couldn't look at the above picture and not think "Man, that's a World Title gimmick if I ever saw one."
