Former Team Canada coach and current all-around awesome fella Scott D'Amore posted the following on his Facebook just moments ago:
TNA wrestling producer and former on-air manager of Team Canada, Scott D'Amore has decided to leave TNA Wrestling effective immediately. D'Amore, who most recently was the agent for the TNA Knockouts division, which produced some of the highest ratings for SpikeTV's Impact, has decided to pursue a new wrestling project in Canada. D'Amore's Border City Wrestling, based out of Windsor, Ontario, will be merging with Toronto's BSE Pro Wrestling, run by Jason A. Brown, to become one of North America's largest and longest running independent wrestling company under the new banner, Maximum Pro Wrestling!
More details will be released in the near future, but the new company is planning to run extensive live events, Pay Per Views, DVD releases as well as develop a new television series.
I would say I'm sad to see TNA lose him, but with the exception of Angelina's return, have they done ANYTHING worthwhile with the Knockouts in the last 6 months? If I were Coach D'Amore and they were taking away all of the TV time from my girls to give to the geriatric dog and pony show, I'd leave too. And with a new TV series in the works?! It may be a local show but hopefully it'll find its way to youtube. Maybe some of the mis-used and un-used X-division guys *ahem*MCMG*ahem* can find a better home base up there.
