Warrior Opts Out of WWE Hall Of Fame

Yeah, that guy.

According to PWInsider, The Ultimate Warrior had been tapped to be the "marquee" entrant into this year's class of WWE Hall of Fame inductees. And while he had originally agreed to do so, he's now changed his mind and is declining his invite.

Gee, the Ultimate Warrior is declining an invitation to have his ass kissed by the same people who lambasted him in his "Self-Destruction" DVD and called him basically the worst thing to happen to pro wrestling this side of Goldberg. Who woulda thought?

Certifiably insane though he may be, I'll give Warrior (yes, that's his real, legal name now) credit for maintaining at least some shred of self-respect and dignity.

Word has it that the new "feature" inductee will be Stu Hart. The same Stu Hart that Vince just told Bret on TV a few weeks ago would "never" be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Then again, continuity was never WWE's strong suit. Just ask Kane.

And people wonder why I cheer for the rise of TNA?
